What we get up to

We’re growing steadily, but we’re still small enough for everyone to know everyone. There are monthly company lunches, regular social events, and introductory videos to everyone in the team. Once a year, the whole company gets together offsite – and if we’re lucky, the ‘OMass band’ does a set!

Our Values
We’re values-led people
Our Values aren’t just words on a wall, they’re a shared articulation of who we are and who we want to be. Everyone at OMass was involved in developing them, so we know they’re an authentic representation of what we stand for, and we work together to build them into everything we do.
  • Ambitious

  • Responsible

  • Innovative

  • Focused

  • Caring

  • Collaborative

Building an inclusive culture

A core commitment under our ‘Caring’ value is ensuring that everyone feels welcome, and opportunity is equal here. We proactively educate ourselves and each other about how we can be more inclusive, and then work to remove bias from our processes. We’re always trying to improve, but we do celebrate the diversity we already have; no single gender dominates here, and at our last count, we scored 22 birth countries out of just over 40 people.

= Nationalities represented within our team

Working towards a more sustainable future

Our caring, ambitious, and responsible values also extend to our views on sustainability. Part of our commitment to deliver our vision of improving the lives of patients with rare diseases or immunological conditions includes a responsibility to care for our environment. We assess the impact decisions have on our environmental goals and make sustainability a top priority. We are always looking for innovative ways to become more environmentally friendly and, as a demonstration of our commitment, we have pledged to measure and offset all our scope 1 & 2 emissions moving forward.

OUR BENEFITS
The big and little things, taken care of

We’ve got the big things you need covered; a competitive remuneration package, the chance to share in the success of the company, and hybrid working arrangements. Here are just a few of the benefits we offer.

  • Private health care
  • Cycle to work scheme – save money on a new bike
  • Life Assurance
  • Income protection, currently including 24/7 access to advice on physical, mental and financial wellbeing
  • Company pension, whereby OMass also contributes any NI savings

It’s often the personal touches that make the biggest difference, though. Because we’re a small, agile team, we’ll listen, move fast, and support you with personalised help when you need it.

OUR LOCATION
Where to find us

We currently have state-of-the-art laboratories and offices in our new flagship site on the Oxford Business Park. In the lab, there is plenty of space to experiment and collaborate, but we also provide social spaces in which to connect and have fun, and a well-being room (we all need a quiet moment sometimes).
